I was nervous to hike by myself. It felt like I was still doing something that was not really allowed, and I could see myself taking a wrong turn even though there is just one way to go. Luckily Sandip wrote down the way with recognisable points, I hugged him goodbye and left. Literally right outside the town, 10minutes from the hotel I got a bit lost… there were to ways that looked okay and both looked terrible. Up or down, up or down… I tried both for 2 steps and then decided to turn around walk back 5 minutes and ask people in the first house haha. I found the way, stressed but with music on and started hiking. The first doubt turned out the only doubt, the way was easy and I recognised a lot. Sandip had told me to take my time, watch my step. However, I was again focussed on arriving. I wasn’t really looking at my surrounding, didn’t want other people to walk close to me so I kept a hig speed pass and music on and just kept going. After 4,5 hours I reached Machakhola and within a short time I even found the hotel we had lunch at on our first day of hiking. I relaxed, ate Dal Bhat and hiked to the spot where there were jeeps waiting. Happy they gave me a good price I got to sit in a jeep with 12 other people hahaha. It felt so good to be there, done trekking, done walking, done wondering when I would be home. In the hotel in Soti Khola, the place where the trek started, the owner helped me to arrange a busticket to Kathmandu. I chatted with the lady and a guy from the hotel, bought some fruits, yeahhhhh fruit!, and snacks for the bus and called an early night. The next morning, I had the bus to Kathmandu which took 10hours of driving. Then another hour with a taxi through the busy traffic I almost forgot excisted and I was home! Ma Kushi Xu, Happy to be home!
